SONG OF THE WHITE GODDESS

The Mirror is flashing in the sea
and it reflects three white
flowers. If the night will glide to its centre
and the temples respond to the heart
when she appears, the Goddess inside you
will be reflected in the silver of the sea
beyond the veil of place and time
where the Kingdom of the Salt glitters
white city of water and mercury
like a cut, a thing, an event
that disperses the clouds in thought …
She is a white queen of the sea
And she distils Love out of her coral
Womb. Worlds flash out of her eyes,
into emptiness, into time.
